Mr. Pouzar is the New York Risk Management Practice Leader with Deloitte. He has been in Risk Management as both Risk Manager and Consultant for over 25 years. Prior to beginning his risk management consulting career, Mr. Pouzar served as a Risk and Employee Benefits Manager and a Commercial Casualty Underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Degree from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. He is a candidate for the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Mr. Pouzar is past president of the Connecticut Valley chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) and the founding president of the Connecticut Chapter of the Public Risk and Insurance Management Association (PRIMA).

Specialized areas of expertise include providing ongoing risk management services; risk analysis; insurance program design and implementation; evaluation of alternative funding techniques; workers compensation cost control techniques, including fraud management; business planning and organizational reviews; due diligence evaluation; and insurance underwriting consulting.
