Eastern Seaboard Power & Light Company

A regional power company headquartered on the eastern seaboard needed a better way to process several types of unique claims, manage a myriad of insurance reports and deal with complex insurance renewals. They had some general ideas of what they wanted, but no inventory of needs, or strong solutions for their people. The Deloitte RMIS/Lab™ was engaged to do a Risk Management Information System (RMIS) needs analysis and system selection. Through a process of interviews and analysis, our Risk & Insurance Technology Consultants helped create a short list of candidates. Additionally, Deloitte RMIS/Lab™ hosted a Lab Session to thoroughly examine the systems and evaluate their potential solutions with hands-on testing. With the professional assistance of the Deloitte RMIS/Lab™, the client has successfully chosen a viable system for implementation.

Malpractice Insurance Carrier

A medical malpractice insurance carrier mutualized in a northeastern state needed a more effective way to operate their medical malpractice-underwriting department. Deloitte RMIS/Lab™ was engaged to perform an underwriting process review. Included in this underwriting process review was a technical evaluation of a planned upgrade to a new underwriting system. Our Risk & Insurance Technology Consultants presented several recommendations for improving insurance underwriting system implementation, user training and solutions for project management. The carrier can now more effectively manage the underwriting department and implement the new underwriting system with new direction and confidence.

International Car Rental Company

This global car rental company has a homegrown system to process automobile rental claims. They were looking for a way to improve their claims adjudication process and enable their people to be more effective in delivering superior customer service. Deloitte RMIS/Lab™ was recently engaged to find that better way with a superior system to process automobile claims. Deloitte RMIS/Lab™ helped this client select and implement the best possible system for their needs.
